SalesAgility has a commitment to publishing code under Open Sources licenses and donating products to the Community Edition of SugarCRM.

"We all float higher on a rising tide" is the most obvious explanation for doing this.

We have a fundamental belief that by publishing code that is freely available, that the ecosystem of SugarCRM expands, which in turn expands the number of people who use the products. This leads to greater demand for the kind of consulting, education and development expertise that is the bedrock of our business.

Not all of our code can be productised. Maybe that's not strictly true. Maybe it's fairer to say that we don't have time to productise all our code. Whichever, some of the products here require our expertise to implement, particularly the Portal.
